Stephen Aber
Strategy, operations, AI, and the complicated problems that don't fit neatly into one department.
I work with executives and organizations to turn ideas into execution, build systems where they're missing, and figure out what happens when the answer crosses functions.
Over the past decade, I've run an organization, advised CEOs and boards, helped companies scale, built operational systems and AI-enabled workflows, worked across technical and nontechnical teams, and translated complicated ideas into decisions people can actually use.
I tend to end up working on the things nobody quite knows who owns.
And I like it that way.
What I do
Strategy & Operations
I help turn executive priorities into actual work: building a process, aligning people approaching the same problem from different directions, identifying what's holding a project up, or simply taking ownership of something that needs to get done.
AI & the Future of Work
I'm interested in what happens when we stop treating AI primarily as a content generator and start using it as an operating tool for context, institutional memory, synthesis, decision support, and execution.
Organizational Problem-Solving
Some of the most interesting problems don't belong to a department. They sit between strategy, operations, people, communications, technology, and execution. Those are usually the problems I want.
What I'm building
CommsOffice
Communications leadership for organizations that don't have communications departments.
I'm building CommsOffice, a communications operating system designed to help organizations bring more strategy, consistency, and judgment to their communications. As part of it, I built an AI Communications Assistant that works from organizational context rather than treating every request as an isolated prompt.
